I specialize in selling central Vancouver apartments. I’ve lived in 24 different apartments in 30 years and I think this has had something to do with my becoming interested in what makes a good one! I was born in Victoria, BC, and came across The New Natural House Book by David Pearson when I was 17 browsing in a bookstore in Paris. His explanation of Bau-Biologie concepts and of creating healthy and livable spaces within our cities really inspired me. I studied more of these concepts at the Institute for Bau-Biologie and Ecology in Clearwater, Florida, and also learned some natural building techniques in Oregon, New Mexico and Mexico.
I started my professional life as a baroque violinist in Toronto, first as a member of Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and then as a freelancer in the U.S. and Europe. I also taught Bikram yoga in various cities around the world before settling back on the West Coast — always the place I longed to get back to.
I began selling Vancouver real estate full time in 2007 and joined Royal Pacific Realty in 2008. Royal Pacific is a well-run, friendly, 100% BC-owned company, and has been a great fit for me. It is the largest independent real estate company in western Canada.
These days my focus is on continuing to increase my knowledge of Vancouver buildings and enjoying the beauty of the West End. In my spare time I practice Bikram yoga and am learning the Ohashiatsu method.
